2
Baking powder (optional)
1 teaspoon
1 pinch

Directions

It takes 3 steps in 15 min
1 Shortcrust Pastry - step 1
Knead the flour with the butter, sugar, and salt until they are combined
Tip: If you want a crumbly shortcrust, add the baking powder as well, but keep in mind it will puff up slightly while baking
2 Shortcrust Pastry - step 2
Add the eggs one at a time, continuing to knead until they are perfectly blended in
Tip: When adding the second egg, first add only the yolk; if the dough is already compact, avoid adding the egg white
3 Shortcrust Pastry - step 3
Once ready, wrap it in cling film and let it rest in the fridge for at least 20 minutes before rolling it out

Cost

The cost is very low, let's not forget this is simply a basic cake recipe

Health

Eggs, butter, and sugar — we certainly can't call this a light basic recipe. If you're on a diet, consider shortcrust pastry as an alternative
