Eggless chocolate mousse, made with very few ingredients, is extremely easy to prepare while remaining velvety and incredibly soft. On rainy winter days, it's one of the recipes I always make with my son to lift our spirits!
Heat 260g of heavy cream over the stove until it almost reaches the boiling point (90 degrees Celsius), then turn off the heat
3
Add the chopped dark chocolate and butter, stirring with a spoon
4
Stir until all the chocolate has melted, then let it cool slightly
5
Meanwhile, whip the remaining 240g of heavy cream until stiff peaks form
6
Fold the chocolate mixture into the whipped cream, using a whisk with gentle upward and downward movements until fully combined
7
Transfer the mixture into individual serving molds (or cups) and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Serve with some amaretti biscuits and a dusting of cocoa powder
Cost
The ingredients used are not very expensive; the individual portion costs less than one euro
Health
Cream, chocolate, butter... It's certainly not a light dessert. If you can manage it (unlike me), try to limit the seconds
