Directions

It takes 6 steps in 4 h 30 min
1 Hamburger buns - step 1
Combine the flours, yeast, salt, and sugar in a bowl and mix to combine everything
2 Hamburger buns - step 2
Add the oil, milk, and water little by little, continuing to knead until it forms a firm and non-sticky dough. Then, let it rise in the refrigerator in a bowl covered with plastic wrap for one hour
3 Hamburger buns - step 3
After the first rise, divide the dough into 4 or 6 portions (depending on whether you want them large or regular), then shape them as round and uniform as possible
4 Hamburger buns - step 4
Grease the surface of the buns with a bit of vegetable oil and let them rise for 3 hours on a baking sheet in a turned-off oven
5 Hamburger buns - step 5
After the second rise, brush the surface of the buns with a bit of milk and, if desired, add some sesame seeds
6 Hamburger buns - step 6
Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes in a static oven, then another 5 minutes in convection mode to form a golden crust on the surface

Cost

The cost per bun is practically negligible; the entire recipe costs less than two euros

Health

These are enriched buns; they contain oil and some sugar, so try to avoid them when you're on a diet
