Heat a large pan and sauté the finely chopped shallot with plenty of olive oil

Add the tomato purée, salt, and let cook over medium-low heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally

Add the well-drained tuna, pitted and coarsely chopped black olives, then cook for another 10 minutes on low heat with a lid

Cook the pasta in plenty of salted water, drain it al dente and add it to the pan with the sauce

Sauté the pasta in the pan over high heat for a few seconds with some basil leaves until the sauce is well blended
