Directions

It takes 4 steps in 35 min
1 - Wash the lemons and remove the zest, being careful not to include the white part of the peel, then soak them in 95° pure alcohol in tightly sealed jars
2 - Let the jars with alcohol and lemon zest rest for at least 30 days in a dark place, away from heat sources
3 - After the resting time, place a saucepan with water and sugar on the stove, heat and stir until all the sugar is dissolved, then set it aside to cool
4 - Once the water and sugar syrup has cooled, combine it with the alcohol after removing the lemon zest. Bottle the limoncello and let it rest for at least another week before consuming

Cost

Unfortunately, alcohol is heavily taxed and quite expensive. However, the finished liqueur will still cost less than buying it at the supermarket

Health

There's not much to say, it's all sugar and alcohol, so use it in moderation
