These are delicious crispy puff pastry treats filled with a velvety custard cream. Perfect to accompany coffee or serve as a dessert, they combine the lightness of puff pastry with the enveloping flavor of the cream. Their fragrant golden crust and creamy filling make them irresistible
Cut the puff pastry roll into strips about two centimeters thick
2
Beat an egg in a cup and brush the surface of the puff pastry
3
Roll the puff pastry strips onto the molds, slightly overlapping the layers and keeping the side with the egg on the outside
4
Brush the horns again with a bit of egg, roll them in sugar, and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper
5
Bake at 200°C (392°F) for 15 minutes in static mode, then another 2–3 minutes in fan mode, until a golden crust forms on the surface
6
Let the horns cool completely, remove them from the molds, and fill them with cream using a piping bag
Cost
The recipe has a moderate cost, as it requires simple ingredients like eggs and sugar. However, quality puff pastry may affect the final price
Health
Cream-filled horns are a dessert rich in sugars and fats, so they should be consumed in moderation. Custard provides protein and calcium thanks to the milk and eggs, but it's also high in calories. Puff pastry, being buttery, contains many saturated fats, so it's best enjoyed occasionally
